Black and blue braid with an angled plug at one end
The Tanglewood FX3BBA is a braided instrument cable in black and blue, 3 metres long, with a straight jack at one end and an angled jack at the other. It suits players who want a lead that stands out on a dark stage or pedalboard and still behaves sensibly in use.
Braided finish
The outer layer is braided rather than smooth rubber. Braid has a woven texture that looks different from a plain lead, and the black and blue colouring is easy to spot among a pile of cables at the end of a rehearsal. It is also easy to tell apart from the other leads in your bag.
The Flex series name is a good hint at how it handles. It is a cable meant to be coiled, uncoiled and moved around often.
Straight and angled
With one angled plug, you can run the cable out of a side-mounted or recessed guitar socket without the plug jutting out. The straight end goes into the amp or a pedal as normal. It keeps things tidy, and it takes some of the strain off the socket.
What you get
- Material: braided
- Length: 3 metres
- Connection: straight to angled
- Colour: black and blue
Three metres is a practical length for most home and rehearsal setups. You can step back from the amp without dragging slack across the floor.
Compare it with the FX3A if you prefer the same angled layout in plain black rubber and want to save a few pounds. If you like the braided look but want both ends straight, the FX3WB is in black and white. For a longer run, the FX6BBA is the same cable at 6 metres.
Why players choose it
- Braided black and blue jacket you can spot easily
- 3 metres, a practical everyday length
- One straight and one angled jack
- Angled plug suits side-mounted sockets
