Tanglewood Reunion Pro: solid spruce tops across many shapes

Tanglewood Reunion Pro is one of the broadest ranges in our acoustic section. Ten guitars share a solid spruce top, and prices run from £329 to £429. What changes from model to model is the body shape, the electronics and the finish, so there is usually a version that fits how you play.

The shapes in the range

  • Super Folk cutaway: the TRU4CEAE, TRU4CEAK, TRU4CEAW and TRU4CEAS are all £399 electro-acoustics. The cutaway makes the upper frets easier to reach.
  • Travel Super Folk: the TRU2CEAW costs £349 and is the compact choice for lighter carrying.
  • Orchestra: the TRU3AK is the cheapest at £329 and has no pickup, so it is a straight acoustic.
  • 12 String Dreadnought: the TRU512AE is £399 for a shimmering, doubled-string sound.
  • Super Jumbo: the TRU7CEAZ is a £399 electro-acoustic with a big body.
  • Bass Jumbo: the TRU7ABCEAW at £429 is the top-priced model, an electro-acoustic bass.

Why a solid spruce top matters

A solid top gives more volume and a livelier response than laminate. Having it across the whole range at this price is the main reason players pick Reunion Pro. Compare it with our wider solid top acoustic guitars.

Choosing your Reunion Pro

Most of the range is electro-acoustic, which suits gigging and recording. If you only play at home, the TRU3AK orchestra saves you money. Players who like a small body should also see small and travel acoustic guitars, and bass players can browse acoustic bass guitars.

The cutaway Super Folk guitars are the heart of the range, and the four finishes all share the same £399 price, so the choice between them is purely about looks. Travel players will like that the TRU2CEAW keeps the same solid spruce top in a smaller body for £50 less. Anyone who wants a big, open sound can look at the Super Jumbo, while the 12 string gives a different texture for songwriting and rhythm parts. Compare prices across the whole group before you buy, because the spread is only £100 from the cheapest to the dearest.

If your budget is tighter, the Tanglewood Roadster series starts at £229. If you want to spend more, the Tanglewood Premier series starts at £599.
