Tanglewood TRU4CEAS Reunion Pro Super Folk Cutaway Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Santos

Santos rosewood warmth in a mid-sized cutaway

Looking for a solid top electro acoustic guitar that stands apart from the usual mahogany and rosewood crowd? The Tanglewood TRU4CEAS uses santos for its back, sides and top veneer, set over a solid spruce top, in a super folk cutaway body that is easy to live with.

Sound and tonewoods

Santos gives warmth and depth, with rich mids that suit fingerstyle and gentle strumming. The solid spruce top keeps things bright and clear, so chords ring out with detail rather than turning muddy. Each figured santos veneer has its own grain pattern, which means no two guitars look exactly the same.

Playing it

At this size you get a good amount of volume without wrestling a big body. The super folk shape sits comfortably on your knee, and the cutaway clears the way to the highest frets. The Eboncore fingerboard and natural satin finish give a smooth, unfussy feel under the hands.

• Good size for sofa practice and small stages alike
• Cutaway for solos and capo work high on the neck
• Satin finish feels smooth rather than sticky
• Plugs straight into an amp or PA

Taking it to a gig

The Tanglewood Premium Plus system is fitted as standard. Plug in, set your level and tone on the side panel, and you are ready for an open mic, a band rehearsal or a recording session. You do not need to set up a microphone or worry about feedback from a mic stand.

The Tanglewood Reunion Pro range offers this same super folk cutaway in ebony (TRU4CEAE) and koa (TRU4CEAK). The santos version is a strong choice if you like a warmer, darker sound with a richer middle, and a grain that is a little different from what most of your friends play. We include free UK delivery.
