Tanglewood TA4CEBL Azure Super Folk Cutaway Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Blue Gloss

A bright blue cutaway you can plug straight in

The Tanglewood TA4CEBL is a blue electro acoustic guitar from the Azure range, built on a compact super folk cutaway body. It suits players who want an instrument that looks different on stage and still covers the basics of strumming, picking and plugging into a PA.

Colour and looks

This is the blue version of the Azure line. The through blue gloss lets the figure of the quilted ash top show, so every guitar has its own pattern. The finish is glossy and the shape is neat, so it looks sharp on a stand at home or on a stage.

Woods and sound

The top is quilted ash, paired with maple for the back and sides. Both woods are on the bright side, so expect a clear, lively voice with plenty of definition when you pick single notes. Chords come out crisp rather than boomy, which suits busy band mixes and recording alike.

Playing and plugging in

The cutaway takes away the bulk of the lower bout around the top frets, so reaching up the neck is easy. The fingerboard is Eboncore, a smooth surface that feels comfortable under the fingers. For amplified use the guitar carries Tanglewood Premium Plus electronics, so you can take a lead from the guitar to a mixer or acoustic amp without any extra fitting.

Who it is for

If you gig, busk or play at open mic nights, the TA4CEBL gives you a stage-ready electro acoustic guitar at a sensible price. It also makes a good first step up from an entry level instrument. The same Azure guitar comes in green (TA4CEGR), grey (TA4CEGY), honey (TA4CEHN), purple (TA4CEPU) and red (TA4CERD), all at the same price, so you can choose on colour alone. Left-handed players can look at the TA4CEHNLH. We ship every order with free UK delivery.
