Tanglewood TA4CEHN Azure Super Folk Cutaway Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Honey Gloss

Warm honey colour on a bright-sounding cutaway

If you want a Tanglewood TA4CEHN, you are after the most natural-looking guitar in the Azure line. It is a super folk cutaway electro acoustic guitar with a honey finish that feels closer to a traditional acoustic than the bold colours around it.

The honey finish

Through honey gloss gives the quilted ash top a golden glow, and the figure in the wood stands out clearly. It is a friendly, classic shade that sits well in a living room, a studio or a pub corner gig.

Tone from ash and maple

The ash top and maple back and sides lean bright, with a clear, quick response. Where some honey-coloured guitars sound mellow, this one stays articulate. That helps when you play with other instruments, and it suits fingerpicking as much as strumming.

Neck and electronics

The Eboncore fingerboard is smooth, and the cutaway lets you reach the upper frets without strain. The body shape is slimmer than a dreadnought, which many players find easier on the arm. Tanglewood Premium Plus electronics are built in, so you can plug in for rehearsals, gigs or recording.

• Honey gloss through the quilted ash top
• Super folk cutaway body
• Maple back and sides
• Onboard electronics for amplified playing

Right or left

This version is right-handed. A left-handed copy with the same honey finish is available as the TA4CEHNLH for £309. If you fancy more colour, the blue TA4CEBL, green TA4CEGR, grey TA4CEGY, purple TA4CEPU and red TA4CERD are all £299. Delivery in the UK is free.

Who will like it

Honey is the safe choice if you plan to keep one guitar for years and do not want a trend colour to date it. It suits songwriters who play at home most days and still want the option to plug in when a gig comes along. The gloss is easy to look after, and the slim body fits neatly in most standard cases.
