Tanglewood TA4CEPU Azure Super Folk Cutaway Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Purple Gloss

Purple gloss for players who want to stand out

The Tanglewood TA4CEPU is the purple one. It is an Azure super folk cutaway guitar with built-in electronics, and the colour makes it a talking point at any gig or session.

Colour that shows the grain

Through purple gloss is rich and deep. The finish is see-through enough that the ripples of the quilted ash top still catch the light, so the guitar has movement rather than a flat block of colour. It is a good pick for anyone who wants a purple electro acoustic guitar that still looks like a quality instrument.

What it sounds like

Ash on top and maple on the back and sides give a bright, open tone. Strummed chords stay clear and single notes have a clean attack. It is an easy guitar to record or to mix with a band, and it should suit pop, folk and indie styles well.

Comfort and connections

The super folk shape keeps the body compact, and the cutaway lets you work the upper frets comfortably. The Eboncore fingerboard feels smooth. For amplified playing, Tanglewood Premium Plus electronics are fitted, so a lead is all you need.

• Purple gloss finish
• Quilted ash top with maple back and sides
• Cutaway for upper fret reach
• Electronics built in

Making it yours

A purple guitar invites a bold strap and a bit of personality. It is a fun choice for younger players, for anyone building a stage image, or for a collector who already owns the usual natural and sunburst models. The playing side stays practical, with comfortable proportions and a neck that is easy to get around.
