Tanglewood FX3OBA Flex Ultra 3m Guitar Cable, Ocean Blue, Angled Jack

A bright blue 3 metre lead with an angled plug

The Tanglewood FX3OBA is a 3 metre guitar cable in a bright Ocean Blue poly braid, with a straight jack on one end and an angled jack on the other. It suits players who want a guitar lead that looks different from the usual black cable and still copes with gigs, rehearsals and studio days.

Why the angled jack matters

An angled plug sits close to the body of the guitar. If your instrument has a side-mounted or recessed input socket, it keeps the cable from sticking out and tugging on the jack. Plug the straight end into your amp, pedalboard or audio interface and the angled end into the guitar. That layout is tidy on stage and kinder to the socket over time.

Braid and build

The Flex Ultra series uses a poly braid outer. It feels light and flexible in the hand, it coils easily and it is less likely to knot when you pack away after a night out. The braid also takes everyday scuffs better than a bare rubber jacket. Inside, the cable is made to keep noise down and let the detail of your tone through, from the low end to the top.

Which Flex Ultra to pick

Three metres is enough for most bedrooms, studios and small stages without leaving a lot of slack on the floor. If you would rather have a straight plug at both ends, the FX3OB is the same colour and costs less. For more reach, the 6 metre models in the range give you extra room to move. If you want an instrument cable that is easy to spot on a dark stage and easy to find in the gig bag, this blue one does the job.
