Tanglewood FX6BBA Flex 6 Metre Braided Instrument Cable, Black & Blue

The longest braided lead with an angled plug in the range

The Tanglewood FX6BBA brings together three things: 6 metres of length, a braided jacket in black and blue, and an angled plug at one end. It is an instrument cable for players who need distance and want a lead that looks good while they do it.

Long run, braided jacket

At 6 metres this is the kind of cable you pick for large stages, big rehearsal spaces and studios where the amp is a long way from the player. The braided outer layer gives it a distinctive woven look in black and blue, which is easy to pick out on a dark floor.

A long cable is more likely to get stepped on or tangled, so it helps to have one that is easy to see and easy to coil. Roll it up loosely after use and it should stay tidy.

Straight and angled ends

One end is straight and one is angled. Put the angled plug in a guitar with a side-mounted or recessed socket and it sits neatly against the body, taking some pressure off the input. The straight end goes to your amp or pedalboard.

• Material: braided cable
• Length: 6 metres
• Connection: straight to angled
• Colour: black and blue

It also works for players who change setups often. Studio sessions, church halls and festival stages all ask for different cable runs, and a 6 metre lead covers most of them without needing an extension. Keep a shorter lead as well for small rooms.

Which Flex cable?

This is the most expensive of the Flex cables listed here, so check that you need the length. For 3 metres of the same black and blue braid, the FX3BBA costs less. For 6 metres in plain rubber, the FX6A is cheaper. If you want the braid with both ends straight, the FX6WB is in black and white.
