Tanglewood OGBEB Bass Envoy Series Padded Bass Guitar Gig Bag

Extra padding for a heavier instrument

Bass guitars are longer and heavier than most instruments, and they deserve a bag made with that in mind. The Tanglewood OGBEB Bass is an Envoy series guitar gig bag for bass players, with thick foam and straps that cope with the extra weight.

Built for the load

The padding is 15mm foam, thicker than you find in the Adventurer bags. It soaks up the knocks that come with loading a car, squeezing onto a train or leaning against a wall in a rehearsal room. The exterior is rain-resistant denier, so a wet pavement or an open car park is not a problem.

Comfort on the move

A bass can drag on your shoulders after a long walk. The OGBEB has adjustable backpack straps, which spread the weight and leave your hands free for an amp or a pedalboard. A padded side handle takes over for short hops from the car to the venue.

Looks and use

Orange detailing on the black bag gives the Envoy range its own look, so your bag is easy to spot in a pile of gear. It is a good partner for rehearsals, sessions and gigs, and it is far lighter than a hard case when you are travelling on foot.

Bass players often carry more than the instrument. A gig bag that sits close to the body and straps on securely leaves you free to take a lead, a tuner and a pedal in the other hand. That is where backpack straps earn their place, and why the Envoy bag suits a busy rehearsal night.

It also saves space at home. A soft bag stores flat against a wall or in a cupboard when the bass is out, which a rigid case never does.

The Envoy series covers other instruments too. If you also play electric guitar, the OGBEE is the matching bag for that. Bass players who want a lighter layer of foam should check that a bag is sized for their instrument before choosing, and this one is the model made specifically for bass.
