Tanglewood OGBED Dreadnought Envoy Series Padded Acoustic Guitar Gig Bag

Dreadnought-sized cover with thick padding

A dreadnought is a big guitar, and it needs a bag with room to spare and a proper layer of foam. The Tanglewood OGBED Dreadnought is a padded guitar gig bag from the Envoy series, made for full-bodied acoustics that travel often.

Padding and outer shell

The interior is lined with 15mm foam. That cushions your guitar against accidental bumps, which is useful when the bag gets squeezed into a boot or leant against a wall. The shell is rain-resistant denier, tough enough for regular transport and good in changeable weather.

Getting it from A to B

Use the padded side handle for short trips. On a longer walk, the adjustable padded backpack straps spread the weight and leave your hands free. You can head to a lesson, a rehearsal room or a recording session without struggling with a heavy case.

• Shaped for dreadnought acoustic guitars
• 15mm foam padding
• Rain-resistant denier fabric
• Padded handle and adjustable backpack straps
• Black with orange detailing

Why choose it

The orange trim against black gives the bag a clean, modern look. It is a lighter option than a hard case, and the extra thickness of foam makes it a step up from basic bags.

The size matters for a dreadnought. A deep body needs a bag that closes without squeezing the guitar, and that has enough foam to protect the widest part. This one is made around that shape, so the guitar sits properly and does not shift when you walk.

That makes it a good choice for players who gig most weeks and want a bag they can trust with a well-loved instrument.

If your guitar is a dreadnought, this is the closest fit in the Envoy range. The cheaper OGBD10 from the Adventurer series also takes a dreadnought, with 10mm of foam, so compare the two on padding and price. Folk and orchestra players should look at the OGBEF instead.
