Tanglewood OGBEE Electric Envoy Series Padded Electric Guitar Gig Bag

One gig bag for most electric guitar shapes

Electric guitars come in many outlines, and the Tanglewood OGBEE Electric is made to take most standard body shapes. It is an Envoy series guitar gig bag that keeps weight low while adding a thick layer of padding for the daily carry.

Protection

You get 15mm of foam inside, which gives plenty of cushioning against knocks in transit. The outside is rain-resistant denier, so it stands up to wear and damp weather. If your commute takes in buses, trains and rainy streets, that combination matters.

Carrying comfort

The padded side handle is quick for short moves, such as from the van to the stage. Adjustable backpack straps are better for longer trips and leave your hands free for a pedal case or an amp. Because the bag is light, you can wear it all day without it feeling like a chore.

Style and use

Black with orange accents, the OGBEE looks neat and understated. It is a good match for students going to lessons, bands moving between rehearsal rooms and gigging players who want something lighter than a hard case.

That flexibility is handy if you own more than one electric, or if you change guitars as your playing develops. You will not need to hunt for a new bag every time you upgrade. The extra padding in this bag also gives a little confidence on crowded public transport.

The bag shows its worth in a small band, where several players load into a car together and every bag gets pushed around a bit.

If you also own a bass, the OGBEB is the longer bag in the same series. Anyone with an acoustic guitar should look at the OGBED or OGBEF instead, since those are shaped for hollow bodies.
