Tanglewood OGBEF Folk/Orchestra Envoy Series Padded Acoustic Guitar Gig Bag

Secure fit for folk and orchestra bodies

Folk and orchestra shaped acoustics sit between the small travel guitars and the large dreadnoughts, and they need a bag that fits well. The Tanglewood OGBEF Folk/Orchestra is a padded guitar gig bag from the Envoy series, made to hold those body shapes securely.

Padding and exterior

The bag is lined with 15mm foam, which guards against knocks and bumps. The outer fabric is rain-resistant denier, built to handle daily travel. Together they give a solid layer of protection that is still far lighter than a hard case.

Carrying it

A padded side handle covers quick moves. Adjustable backpack straps let you wear the bag on longer walks, which suits lessons, gigs and busy commutes. You get a comfortable carry, with your hands free for everything else.

Look and value

Orange detailing on a black bag gives the Envoy series a modern identity. It is a tidy, professional look that suits players who take their guitar out regularly.

Folk and orchestra guitars have a wide lower bout, and a bag that is too loose lets the guitar slide about. A proper fit keeps it still, so the foam does its job. That is the reason to choose a bag cut for the shape rather than a general one.

Singer-songwriters, session players and teachers who take an acoustic out several times a week will find the backpack straps especially useful. They keep your hands free for a music stand or a coffee.

It is also a sensible way to store the guitar at home between sessions, away from dust and daily knocks.

Check your guitar's body shape against the bag before buying. Larger dreadnoughts are better served by the OGBED, and classical players should choose the OGBEC. For folk and orchestra guitars, this is the matching Envoy bag.
