Tanglewood TSPC Silver Aluminium Guitar Capo with Steel Spring for Acoustic and Electric

Change key in one hand, keep the tuning

The Tanglewood TSPC is a silver aluminium guitar capo for acoustic and electric guitars. It lets you shift the key of a song without changing your chord shapes, and it is made to do that without pulling your strings out of tune.

Spring action you can use one handed

A steel wire spring supplies steady pressure each time you clamp the capo on. You can fit it or move it with one hand, so you do not have to stop playing or put your guitar down to change position. That helps when you are working through a set with several key changes.

Gentle on the neck

The contact points use high-strength silicon rubber. They grip the neck firmly, but they do not mark the fretboard, and they press the strings evenly so notes ring clean. The aim is buzz-free playing across the fretboard, with intonation left alone.

Light and easy to carry

• Aluminium body, light but sturdy
• Steel wire spring for consistent pressure
• Silicon rubber pads protect the neck
• Small enough for a pocket or guitar case

The clean, minimal profile suits any guitar, and the silver tone looks tidy on both acoustic and electric necks. Because it is compact, it is easy to keep in your case so it is always there at a rehearsal.

Making your choice

A capo is the cheapest way to change a song's key. It helps when you strum open chords, and it helps when you need to transpose to suit a singer. Many players keep a spare in each guitar case, so one is never left at home. Add it to a TCT1 tuner at £19 or the TFGS stand at £30 for a full kit from the Flex accessories series.
