Tanglewood TWGS C Classical Nylon Guitar Strings Set

Warm nylon strings for your classical guitar

The Tanglewood TWGS C is a set of classical nylon guitar strings made for nylon-strung instruments. If your classical guitar needs fresh strings, this is an affordable set from a brand you may already know. It suits players at every level, from first lessons to concert pieces.

Sound and feel

The set is made from fine, high-grade nylon, chosen for clarity of tone. You get a warm, expressive voice with plenty of sustain, which is the traditional sound classical players listen for. Tension is balanced across the set, so the response feels even from the lowest string to the highest. Quiet fingerstyle passages stay clear, and full chords still carry across the room.

Built to last

Tanglewood designed the set to resist premature wear and keep its tonal consistency through long sessions. That makes it a sensible pick for daily practice, and it holds up in a concert setting too. A steady, predictable string matters when you are playing in front of an audience, and it also saves you from restringing too often. New nylon strings do take a little time to settle, so expect to retune a few times in the first days.

Good to know

• Made for classical, nylon-strung guitars only
• Smooth, even tension for delicate fingerstyle passages
• Enough projection for bold, full chords
• Road-tested over many years by Tanglewood

Not sure which set to buy?

Steel-string guitar owners should not fit these. Look instead at the Custom Light TWGS11 at £12 or the Medium Light TWGS 12 at £12, both for acoustics. If you play a classical guitar, the TWGS C is the one you want. It suits a student instrument just as well as a better guitar that you care about.

At £8.99 with free UK delivery, it is also the least expensive set in the Tanglewood strings range.
