Figured flame mahogany all over the body

Flame mahogany covers the top, back and sides of the Tanglewood TWT6 concert ukulele. Flame is the figured grade, so you see rippling stripes in the wood that move as you tilt the body. It is a smart pick if you like mahogany but want something more eye-catching than the usual plain finish.

Warm and steady

Mahogany is known for a woody tone with a strong midrange and good sustain. The TWT6 follows that pattern. Chords sound round and notes hold on well. It is a softer voice than the maple models in the range, and many players find it easier on the ear over a long session.

Finish and fittings

The satin finish is thin, so the figure shows through and the wood still feels natural to the touch. A maple and mahogany rosette sits around the soundhole. Chrome die-cast tuners keep the strings steady. The neck is mahogany, with an Eboncore fingerboard.
