Tanglewood EME2 Enredo Madera Elegante 4/4 Full Size Classical Guitar

Standard scale, with Elegante detailing

The Tanglewood EME2 is a 4/4 classical guitar for the player who has outgrown a basic student model. It uses the standard scale and body size, with extra finish and detail from the Elegante line. If you are looking for a classical guitar to learn on properly and keep playing, this is a strong candidate.

Tone

The spruce top is bright and quick to respond. At full size it has the volume and headroom to handle loud and quiet playing without sounding strained. Mahogany back and sides pull the voice together with a warm midrange and a firm low end. That makes it a good match for traditional repertoire and gentle fingerstyle.

Looks and feel

Look at the soundhole and you will see an inlaid wood rosette. It is a small detail, but it shows the care that has gone into the build. The natural satin finish is understated and smooth, so your hands move freely over the body and neck. The fingerboard is Techwood.

Why choose Elegante

The Enredo Madera range is built to be affordable, and the Elegante models add visual refinement without a big jump in price. You get a guitar that looks good on a stand at home and sounds good when a teacher or an audience is listening. Nylon strings keep the feel soft on your fingertips.

• Full 4/4 size classical body
• Spruce top with mahogany back and sides
• Inlaid wood rosette
• Natural satin finish

Choosing it

Compare it with the EME1 if you are not sure about size. That guitar has the same woods in a 3/4 body, so it suits a smaller frame. Pick the EME2 if you want the full scale length for lessons, regular practice and playing for others. You pay a little more than for the entry model, and you get a better looking and better finished guitar. Delivery across the UK is free.
