Tanglewood TWBBOE Blackbird Orchestra/Folk Black Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Orchestra body, mahogany tone, ready for the stage

If you want a black electro acoustic without a cutaway, the Tanglewood TWBBOE is worth a look. It has an Orchestra/Folk body from the Blackbird series, a mahogany build and Premium Plus electronics. It is aimed at players who gig or record but still want a comfortable guitar for the sofa.

Shape and comfort

The Orchestra/Folk body is balanced, neither too small nor too bulky. It handles strummed chords as well as picked patterns. With no cutaway, the body keeps its full shape, which some players feel helps the bass response.

Mahogany sound

The top, back and sides are mahogany. The tone is warm and a little woody, with a clear midrange. The fingerboard is engineered wood.

Plugged in

The Tanglewood Premium Plus system lets you amplify and adjust your tone. It is simple to use, so setting up for a gig or a rehearsal is quick.

Who it suits

The TWBBOE works well for singer songwriters who play out occasionally, for students who gig at school or college events, and for anyone who wants one guitar to cover both home practice and a small stage. The black finish looks smart under lights, and the mahogany tone is forgiving, so even a beginner can sound good. Add a strap and a spare set of strings and you are ready to play.
