Tanglewood TWBBSDE Blackbird Sloped Shoulder Dreadnought Electro Acoustic Guitar

An all mahogany dreadnought in matt black, ready to plug in

The Tanglewood TWBBSDE is a sloped shoulder dreadnought from the Blackbird range, fitted with onboard electronics so you can play it unplugged or through an amp. It is a straightforward dreadnought electro acoustic guitar for players who want a dark, understated look and a warm voice at a sensible price.

Mahogany from top to back

The top, back and sides are all mahogany. That tends to give a woody, rounded sound with plenty of midrange, rather than the sparkle of a spruce top. Strummed chords sit nicely under a vocal, and single notes stay full and even.

The sloped shoulder body keeps the dreadnought's size and volume but has a softer, more vintage outline. It suits rhythm work and simple solo playing equally well.

Smokestack Black Satin

The finish is Smokestack Black Satin. Satin means no high gloss, so the guitar feels smooth under your arm and hand and does not show every mark. It makes a good partner for the Blackbird name, and a black electro acoustic guitar always stands out on a stage.

Amplified sound

The electronics are Tanglewood Premium Plus. Plug into a PA, an acoustic amp or a recording interface and shape the tone from the guitar itself. It means one instrument can cover the kitchen, the rehearsal room and the gig.
