Tanglewood TWCRT Crossroads Travel Acoustic Guitar, Whiskey Burst Satin

A small mahogany guitar that goes where you go

Small enough to take on holiday and pleasant enough to keep by the sofa, the Tanglewood TWCRT is a compact travel acoustic guitar from the Crossroads series. It has a mahogany build and a scaled-down body for songwriters, travellers and anyone short on space.

Portable without sounding thin

The reduced body is light and easy to carry, which makes the TWCRT handy for weekends away, warm-ups before a gig, or picking up between other jobs at home. Its proportions are designed with comfort in mind, and for its size it has a balanced voice that carries well across a room.

Tonewoods

The top is mahogany, with matching mahogany back and sides. Together they give a warm, resonant sound with good depth and sustain. Strummed open chords sound full for a small guitar, and picked melodies come through with articulation and balance. The Eboncore fingerboard and the Whiskey Burst Satin finish give it the same look as its bigger Crossroads siblings, so it does not feel like a toy.

• Easy to slip into a car boot or carry on foot
• Handy for songwriting at the kitchen table
• Eboncore fingerboard
• Whiskey Burst Satin finish with visible grain

Is a travel guitar right for you?

If you already own a full-size acoustic, the TWCRT makes a great second instrument that goes where the big one cannot. It also suits players who simply prefer a smaller guitar. For a fuller sound at home, compare it with the TWCRO orchestra model at the same £129. Left-handed? Choose the TWCRTLH, which shares the woods and finish. A small guitar also makes sense for younger players whose arms cannot yet reach comfortably over a full-size body. Delivery is free anywhere in the UK.
