Tanglewood TCH59HB Chicago Series Jazz Style Semi Acoustic Guitar, Honey Burst Satin

Warm Honey Burst satin for jazz and blues

The Tanglewood TCH59HB is a Chicago series semi acoustic guitar finished in Honey Burst Satin. The golden tones suit the warm, rounded sound you expect from a jazz guitar, and the satin surface feels smooth under your forearm.

Looks and finish

Honey Burst fades from gold to a darker edge, and it lets the flame in the maple top show. Satin keeps the look soft and understated, with less glare than the gloss colours in the range.

Maple semi-hollow body

The top is flame maple, and the back and sides are maple. The semi-hollow construction adds depth and a lively response, so chords bloom and single notes sustain. It leans naturally toward jazz, blues and soulful rhythm work.

Humbuckers and neck

Two humbuckers deliver a thick, clean sound with little noise. The neck is Okoume with a Purple Heart fingerboard, which feels smooth and stable. The double cutaway means you can reach the upper frets without strain.

Where it fits

This is a guitar for playing in the lounge, the studio or a small stage. The semi-hollow body is light enough to wear for a full set, and the sound works with a small valve combo as well as a modelling amp. Smooth jazz voicings, bluesy phrases and gentle rhythm parts all come across well. If you have been after a semi acoustic with a mellow look and an easygoing feel, this colour is a natural fit for your collection.
