Tanglewood NSP2NA Northstar Pro Single Cutaway P90 Electric Guitar, Natural Gloss

A natural gloss single cutaway with P90 bite

Meet the Tanglewood NSP2NA, a single cutaway electric guitar for players who like the grit and warmth of P90 pickups. It sits in the Tanglewood Northstar Pro line, and the natural gloss finish lets the timber show. If you want a straightforward, good looking electric guitar at £199, this is a strong place to start.

Solid poplar and a clear natural finish

The body is solid poplar, a light wood with an even, balanced voice. The gloss natural finish keeps the look clean and simple, so the grain and the shape do the talking. The single cutaway design is a familiar one, and the cutaway gives your fretting hand easy access to the upper frets.

Two P90s, plenty of range

The two P90 pickups are the heart of this guitar. They sit between a single coil and a humbucker in character. Roll the gain back and you get open, lively clean tones. Push an amp harder and the sound turns raw and gritty. That suits the NSP2NA to blues, garage rock and indie.

Neck and fingerboard

The neck is torrefied maple with a Roseacer stripe down the back. Torrefied maple is roasted to make it more stable, so it should stay settled as conditions change. The fingerboard is rosewood, which feels smooth under the fingers and adds a little warmth to the tone. Chrome die cast machine heads keep the tuning dependable.
