Tanglewood NS2CB Northstar Single Cutaway Electric Guitar, Metallic Cadillac Blue

Single cutaway style in a bold metallic blue

The Tanglewood NS2CB is a single cutaway electric guitar from the Northstar series, finished in Metallic Cadillac Blue. If you want a blue electric guitar with classic looks and a price of £139, this is an easy one to shortlist.

The look

The blue is the first thing you notice. It is a deep metallic shade that catches the light on stage and at home. The caramel maple fingerboard and the maple neck with its Roseacer stripe add a warm contrast against the body colour.

Body and neck

The body is solid poplar, a wood that is light enough to wear for a full practice session or a long set. The single cutaway shape gives your fretting hand access to the upper frets without any fuss.

The maple neck carries the Roseacer stripe down its length, and the caramel maple fingerboard gives a smooth surface under the fingers. Chrome die cast machine heads keep the tuning in check.

Two single coils

Two single coil pickups give you the clear, articulate voice players expect from this layout. Use the neck pickup for rounder tones and the bridge for brighter, tighter ones. Clean settings sparkle, and with a little gain the guitar still holds together nicely.

• Solid poplar body in Metallic Cadillac Blue

Choosing your finish

The Northstar NS2 shares its build with two other finishes. The NS2NA comes in Natural Matte and the NS2VW in Vintage White Gloss, both at £139. The spec is the same, so the choice comes down to colour. If you want the one that stands out most, the NS2CB is it.

It makes a good first electric guitar, a spare for gigs or a fun second guitar for the spare room. Add an amp and a lead and you are ready to play. We offer free UK delivery on your order.
