Tanglewood NS2VW Northstar Single Cutaway Electric Guitar, Vintage White Gloss

Vintage White gloss with a classic layout

Looking for a white electric guitar that does not cost a fortune? The Tanglewood NS2VW is a single cutaway model in Vintage White Gloss, from the Northstar series, at £139. It uses a solid poplar body with two single coil pickups.

Why vintage white

White is a classic guitar colour, and the gloss gives it a clean, bright shine. Against the caramel maple fingerboard and the maple neck, the contrast looks warm and familiar. It is a look that suits cleaner styles of playing, but it works with anything.

Build

The body is solid poplar in a single cutaway shape. That cutaway gives your hand room to reach the top of the neck. The neck is maple with a Roseacer stripe, and chrome die cast machine heads sit at the top.

Tone

Two single coil pickups, one near the neck and one by the bridge, do the work. The neck pickup is smooth and round. The bridge pickup is sharper and good for rhythm and lead lines. Add some overdrive and you can move from sparkling cleans into dynamic, expressive playing.

Compare the finishes

The same guitar is also sold as the NS2CB in Metallic Cadillac Blue and the NS2NA in Natural Matte, both £139. If you want something brighter and more traditional, the NS2VW is the one to choose.

For a beginner, a returning player or someone who needs a spare, it covers the basics well. We include free UK delivery.

Easy to live with

A simple layout means there is little to learn. Plug in, set your amp and start playing. Because the Northstar range keeps its controls straightforward, it is a friendly guitar for learning chords, practising scales and trying out your first riffs at home.
