Tanglewood NS1BL Northstar Double Cutaway Electric Guitar, Metallic Blue

Metallic blue paint on a player-friendly Northstar

Colour is the first thing you notice on the Tanglewood NS1BL. This blue electric guitar wears a metallic blue gloss over a poplar double cutaway body, with three single coil pickups underneath. It is a bright, easy-going Northstar for players who want something that stands out.

A finish that catches the light

The metallic blue gloss shows up well on stage and looks just as good on a stand at home. The poplar body underneath is light and gives an even tone, and the double cutaway shape makes the top of the neck easy to reach.

Neck and fingerboard

The maple neck carries a Roseacer stripe and a caramel maple fingerboard. The surface is smooth and quick, which helps when you are learning new chords or building speed. Chrome die cast machine heads keep the strings in tune.

Sound

Crisp, open tones come from the three ceramic single coils. Use them clean for rhythm parts, or push your amp harder for sharper lead tones.

Who it suits

Pick this one if you want a first electric that feels like a proper instrument and looks lively from day one. Players who enjoy a bit of colour often practise more when the guitar is out on a stand, ready to grab. The shape is easy to hold seated or on a strap, and the controls are simple to learn, so you can spend your time on playing rather than tweaking. It also works as a bright, affordable second guitar for gigging players.

The spec matches the rest of the NS1 line, so pick on colour. The NS1BK in solid black is the quieter option, while the NS1CF in charcoal frost sits between the two for looks.
