Tanglewood NSP5BKG Northstar Pro Black Semi Hollow Electric Guitar

Open, rounded tone from a black semi hollow body

The Tanglewood NSP5BKG is a semi hollow electric guitar in Black Gloss with two humbuckers. It is made for players who want a warmer, rounder voice than a solid body gives, with the looks of a smart dark finish.

Semi acoustic body

The body is mahogany, and the semi acoustic design gives it an airy resonance that you can feel against your chest when you play. Notes sound full and woody, with a gentle bloom that suits jazz, soul, blues and mellow rock. The black gloss is deep and clean, with a polished look that works for stage and living room alike.

Neck and playability

The neck is okoume, a light and stable wood, and the fingerboard is rosewood. Together they give a smooth, familiar feel for both chords and single note lines. Black die cast machine heads match the finish and keep the tuning steady.

Pickups

Two humbuckers deliver a thick, warm sound with low noise. They handle clean tones well and still take plenty of overdrive when you want something heavier. If you like the sound of classic semi hollow guitars, this layout will feel right at home.

The pairing of mahogany and humbuckers is a familiar recipe for a smooth, singing lead tone. Roll back the tone control for a mellow jazz sound, or turn up the gain and let it sustain. It is a flexible set up for a player who likes to move between styles in one session.

• Mahogany semi acoustic body
• Two humbuckers for a warm, full sound
