Tanglewood TGB4CE Great Britain Super Folk Cutaway Electro Acoustic Guitar, Natural Satin

A slim cutaway built for fingerstyle and the stage

The Tanglewood TGB4CE is a super folk cutaway from the Great Britain series. It is a solid wood electro acoustic guitar for players who want a comfortable body, easy access to the top of the neck and a pickup that keeps the real acoustic sound when you plug in. It suits fingerstyle players, lead melody players and anyone who gigs regularly.

Tonewoods and sound

The top is AAA solid Sitka spruce, and the back and sides are solid mahogany. Spruce brings clarity and plenty of dynamic range, while mahogany adds warmth and a focused midrange. The result is a voice with clean highs and a tight low end, which works well in a band mix and when you play alone.

Neck and playability

The super folk shape is slimmer than a dreadnought, so it sits comfortably against your body for long sessions. The cutaway opens up the upper frets for solos and chord shapes high on the neck. The fingerboard is ebony, and the guitar uses Tanglewood's first bolt-on neck design, which allows precise alignment of the neck for action and intonation and makes later servicing simpler.

On stage

The electronics are an LR Baggs Stage Pro Element. It is a natural sounding system with onboard EQ, so you can shape your sound without losing the character of the guitar. The finish is natural satin, which keeps the look understated and lets the wood show through.
