Tanglewood TUN4CE Union Super Folk Cutaway Solid Top Electro-Acoustic Guitar

Solid mahogany, a cutaway and a preamp in one guitar

The Tanglewood TUN4CE brings a solid wood top together with stage-ready electronics. It is a solid top electro acoustic guitar from the Union series, built on a super folk cutaway body that is neat to hold and easy to play.

What it is made of

You get a solid mahogany top with mahogany back and sides. That all-mahogany build gives a warm, focused sound with a strong midrange. Strummed chords feel full, and fingerpicked lines stay clear and tidy. Because the top is solid wood, the tone has room to mature as you play it in.

Body and neck

The super folk shape is smaller than a dreadnought, so it suits players who like a comfortable posture and a balanced response. The cutaway lets your fretting hand travel up the Eboncore fingerboard without fighting the body, which helps with solos and higher voicings.

Electronics

The Tanglewood TEQ MX preamp lets you plug into an amp, a PA or a recording interface. Its job is to pass on the guitar's acoustic character, so you can gig and record with the same instrument. The open pore natural satin finish keeps the wood grain visible and feels light under the hand.

This is a guitar for the player who does a bit of everything. Play it at an open mic on Friday, record a demo on Saturday and practise on the sofa on Sunday. Having one instrument that suits all three means you get to know it well, and that familiarity helps your playing.
