Tanglewood TW4CENALH Winterleaf Super Folk Cutaway Left Handed Electro Acoustic Guitar

A proper left-handed build with a solid cedar top

Built the right way round for lefties, the Tanglewood TW4CENALH is a left handed electro acoustic guitar from the Winterleaf range. It has a solid cedar top, a super folk cutaway body and Premium Plus electronics, so left-handed players get the same spec as the right-handed TW4CENA rather than a flipped compromise, at £469.

Made for left-handed players

Turning a right-handed acoustic over does not work well, because the bracing, cutaway and controls all end up on the wrong side. On the TW4CENALH, the body, cutaway and electronics are laid out for the left hand to strum and the right hand to fret. The cutaway sits where it should, giving your fretting hand space to reach the high notes on the Techwood fingerboard.

• Left-handed build, not a converted right-hand model
• Solid cedar top over mahogany back and sides
• Super folk body with a cutaway
• Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ

Tone from cedar and mahogany

Cedar is a soft, quick tonewood. Even when you play lightly, the top moves easily and the sound blooms, with a warm, slightly dark character. Mahogany back and sides fill out the middle and keep the bass firm. The overall voice is round and intimate, great for fingerstyle and for accompanying your own singing. The super folk body gives decent volume while staying comfortable on your lap.

On stage

When you need to be heard, the Tanglewood Premium Plus system takes care of it. EQ on the side of the guitar lets you shape your amplified tone for each room, and the guitar plugs straight into a PA, acoustic amp or interface. The Natural Gloss finish keeps the cedar colour on show.

Left-handed acoustics with a solid top and a pickup can be hard to find, so this is a strong option if you are a southpaw ready for a better instrument. If you want a brighter or more mellow sound, compare it with other Winterleaf super folk models, though check they come in a left-handed version. We include free UK delivery.
