Tanglewood TW4TLCEAVB Winterleaf Thinline Super Folk Cutaway Electro Acoustic Guitar

A slim, warm-voiced acoustic made for playing plugged in

A slim body is the big draw of the Tanglewood TW4TLCEAVB. This Winterleaf thinline super folk cutaway pairs a solid mahogany top with mahogany back and sides, giving you a solid top electro acoustic guitar that feels closer to an electric when you strap it on. It costs £449.

Thinline comfort

The body is shallower than a standard super folk, so there is less wood between your chest and the strings. Your strumming arm sits lower and more naturally, and the guitar is easier to manage on a strap for a full set. Players coming from electric guitar often find a thinline the most familiar acoustic shape. The cutaway adds easy reach up the Techwood fingerboard for lead lines.

Solid mahogany warmth

Mahogany gives a darker, rounder sound than spruce. With a solid mahogany top you get that warmth with good detail, and the midrange is strong and smooth. A thinner body has less acoustic boom, which can work in your favour on stage, as there is less low end to fight with when the guitar is amplified.

• Thinline body that is easy to hold and play standing up
• Solid mahogany top over mahogany back and sides
• Tanglewood QX4 electronics for live and recorded sound
• Autumn Vintage Gloss finish

Electronics and looks

The QX4 system lets you set your amplified tone from the guitar, so you can plug into a PA or an amp and adjust quickly between songs. The Autumn Vintage Gloss finish is a warm, aged colour that suits the mahogany grain and looks smart under stage lights.

Within the Tanglewood Winterleaf range, compare this with the TW4CESB, which has a full-depth body and a solid spruce top for a brighter, louder unplugged sound. Choose the TW4TLCEAVB if you mostly play plugged in, prefer a warm tone and value comfort on a strap. Free UK delivery comes with it.
